I am a postdoctoral researcher in Sociology and Political Science, specialising in gender and far-right politics. My work explores the gendered dimensions of the contemporary far right in Europe, with a focus on how feminist claims are redirected toward exclusionary ends.
My PhD thesis, Far-righting Feminism? Criminalising Street Harassment in France and Britain (University of Lausanne, 2024), analyses the tensions surrounding the fight against street harassment in the context of a rising far right. Based on qualitative fieldwork, it explores how the feminist cause against street harassment was translated into public policies in both contexts and how it was appropriated by far-right activists in France.
In my current research project, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and hosted at the University of Oxford, I investigate how far-right movements in France and the UK engage with gender issues. The project also explores the transnational dimensions of far-right women’s activism, currently on the rise in Europe.
